Immediate past European champions Chelsea have their focus on getting a first win at home in the Premier League this season ahead of the visit of Leicester City this weekend. Chelsea and Leicester City take on each other in one of the week four Premier League games scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea have only played once at home in the league this season and they were unlucky not to win the game. They were denied victory by the stoppage time header from Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as the London Derby encounter ended in a 2-2 draw. Senegalese international Kalidou Koulibaly celebrated his home debut for Chelsea with the first goal of the game via a well-taken volley off a Marc Cucurella corner kick. His goal gave Chelsea a one-nil lead at the end of the first 45 minutes. Danish star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg scored the first Spurs equaliser before Reece James restored the lead for the Blues. In the end, Kane and Spurs had the last laugh with their second equaliser to secure a point from the game which dominated by Chelsea.
At the end of week three, Chelsea fans are not excited with the number of points on the board. They have four points from three games after a record of one win, one draw and one defeat. Chelsea began the new league season with the 1-0 away win over Everton thanks to the first half penalty from Italian midfielder Jorginho. The abovementioned Spurs game was their second league outing this season. Chelsea then suffered their first league loss of the season with the 3-0 loss at the hands of hosts Leeds United. They finished the game with ten men after Koulibaly was dismissed for two yellow cards in the second half.
For Leicester City, they are second bottom on the league table ahead of their visit to West London to take on Chelsea. They have one point from three games.
